For the Kids 5K Family Walk/Run

Join us for this 5K Walk/Run event that supports Royal Family Kids Camp and Teen Reach Adventure Camp of Yamhill County, summer camp experiences for foster children ages 7-15. SEND A FOSTER KID TO CAMP, ONE STEP AT A TIME.

This is an event that provides a healthy, fun activity for the whole family. Come participate in this non-competitive, kid-friendly event that winds through the Newberg neighborhoods north of 99W.  A timer is provided for our more serious runners.


Registration fees:
Adults (18 years and older) $30.00 (event day registration $35)
Youth/Students (13-17, 18 and older with student ID) $15
Children (12 years and younger) FREE

Route and Location
Start and stop is at the Mountainview Rd entrance of Newberg Christian Church (2315 Villa Road). Parking is available via the Villa Road entrance.

The route will start on Mountainview Road, head south on Villa Road, wind through the neighborhoods of Newberg and the George Fox University campus, and then back up Meridian, past Joan Austin Elementary, finishing back on Mountainview.  The exact route will be clearly marked and staffed by Royal Kids 5K personnel.

Please, no pets, bikes scooters, or skateboards.  Strollers are welcome.

Check In and Day of Event Registration
Begins at 8:00am at the Mountainview start location.

Start Times
Runners will be sent off at 9:00am, walkers at 9:05am

RFKC is dedicated to creating positive memories for abused and abandoned children ages 7-11, now residing in foster care.  We provide a week-long overnight summer camp experience that is specifically designed for these at-risk children.  With a trained and vetted staff, we provide 5 days for them to feel safe, have fun, and be unconditionally loved - all in the great outdoors.

TRAC is committed to creating positive memories for abused and abandoned teens ages 12-15, now residing in foster care.  We provide a 3 day, separate gender overnight summer camp experience that is specifically designed to help at-risk teens by creating an environment where they can feel safe, have fun, be shown how valuable they are, and learn valuable life skills.
